What a year!

It’s safe to say that it’s been an amazing year…what a rollercoaster! So much has happened, and we’ve got plenty more in the pipeline. Where to start?

Well, first things first, here are just a couple of highlights of the past year…

  • Voted top DJ in the country by Go-Hen
  • Official DJ on the TV Smash “Married at 1st Sight”
  • Double finalist at the 2015 Kent Wedding Awards
  • Over 80 5 star Facebook reviews since April
  • Introduction of “Discologic Live”
  • 197 amazing weddings since January

I don’t know quite how we have made it to October 2015 but here we are - the summer has come and gone and brought with it some of the best events we’ve ever been involved in.

For us, the year got off to an exciting start with a call from a TV production company asking us if we’d like to be involved a brand new TV program called married at 1st sight. The programme aired on Channel 4 in July but filming took place in February. It was a great experience and we were so happy to be asked to take part…oh, and we’re really pleased to announce that one of the couples from the show is still going strong!

Whilst the wedding season traditionally peaks in the summer months, for us, the wedding season is now all year round. This year, we’ve travelled to weddings all over the UK but most of our work is in good old Kent! We’ve had the pleasure of performing at:

Chilston Park, Brands Hatch place, Leeds Castle, The Orangery, Bradbourne House, Tower Bridge, The O2, Lympne Castle, Winters Barn, The Old Kent Barn, The Shard, The National History Museum, Chiddingstone Castle, Buxted Park, Channels Barns, Westen Hanger Castle to name just a few.

We’re always looking for ways we can improve and expand upon our services and, this year we’ve introduced a number of new procedures designed to enhance your experience both before and after your event. I am pleased to say our new procedures have all worked very well and we’ve received some great feedback. In fact, they’ve helped make this our best year ever!

The Kent Wedding Awards --- http://www.kentweddingawards.co.uk/

We first entered the Kent Wedding Awards in 2012, when we were lucky enough to win. Since then, we have strived to improve and enhance our services, year after year. We’re always looking for opportunities to progress!

Below you will see copies of our entries since 2012, so you can see the improvement for yourself!

As well as the written application, we also spend a lot of time on the DVD part of the entry. Below you’ll find the introduction sections of the videos from the past three years (2012 is the full video), which really demonstrate just how creative we like to be!

As you can see, our entries have certainly evolved with our progression! All the hard work has paid off as we’ve won the award for the past 3 years - we look forward to the results for 2015 this November and would like to wish all finalists the best of luck in finals!

Moving on…

But the year’s not over yet… we still have a number of exciting events to look forward too this year and of course, a very, very busy December ahead of us!!

Hot off the press…

Discologic Live!!!

We’ve all seen pictures of the FirstDance, it’s one of the highlights of most weddings. But what if there was a way to record the dance or maybe even the whole party? A way friends and family who couldn’t make it to the wedding can get to see it live, as it happens?

Well, with the introduction of Discologic LIVE, now our clients can do just that!

After setting up a number of small cameras, we will not only record the event for you but we’ll also stream it live all around the world, securely though our website. Launching in Novemeber, this totally unique service is unlike anything the market has seen ever seen before!

Thanks for taking the time to read this blog - remember we’re only ever a phone call or email away if you have any questions or need any further information.

Enjoy the rest of 2015 and we’ll be back with more exciting updates in 2016…
