May is here!!!
Last week’s events:
Thursday was at the Hilton hotel at London Docklands for Barclays Bank please visit our Facebook page @ https://www.facebook.com/DiscologicUK for pictures and video of this event! What a great night! It’s a pleasure to work with repeat customers having already performed at a number of events for Barclays a number of the guests came up to say “hi” They had a full Disco/DJ with Blue mood lighting around the room.
Onto the weekend we had weddings at Brands hatch place and Chilham village hall both of which had a full disco with mood lighting.
Brands hatch place in Kent is a stunning venue and is always a pleasure to perform at! Please find some more information on the venue below:
“A sophisticated Georgian mansion built in 1806, Brands hatch Place Hotel & Spa in Kent stands proudly in the lush countryside known as the Garden of England. Despite its rural location, it is within easy reach of major motorways and London, close to Dartford and Sevenoaks, as well as Gatwick and Heathrow airports, the south coast and the Channel Tunnel, making it the ideal hotel venue in Kent for meetings, as well as trips to the continent.”
Chilham Village hall in kent is a very different type of venue in the fact that you can create a bespoke event from the ground up you won’t have the facilities of a hotel to help and guide you on the route to your day so you may need to put in some extra leg work to make sure everything is perfect!! But again a beautiful venue and unlike any “village hall” you are likely to come across!!
Last week I spoke about how popular old skool garage music is now!, And again this coming weekend is no different with yet another must play garage hour requested!!
But this week I want to say a few words about my love for 80’s music which really is today’s party decade!!
When catering for any event, music choices are always at the forefront of your mind deciding what you like can be quite hard while at the same time thinking will my guests like my style too!? Due to the various range of ages that are going to be in attendance, we find that going back to the eighties will always hit a soft spot! As 80’s tracks cater for a wide range of ages and you can be sure that played at the right time your dance floor will remain packed throughout. You could class 80’s as cheese!? but of the decent variety and not what most people believe to be over the top such as YMCA etc !!
Here is our current top ten of 80’s classics that appeal to all ..
Whitney Houston – I want to dance with somebody
Jermaine Stewart – we don’t have to take our clothes off
McFadden & Whitehead – ain’t no stopping us now
Steve Walsh – I’ve found lovin
George Harrison – got my mind set on you
Paul Simon – call me al
KC & the sunshine band – give it up
Jocelyn Brown – somebody else’s guy
Michael Jackson – Billie jean
Wham – wake me up before you go-go
Time to get on with some work!!!
